1. “Patents+ 2025 – Economic Valorization of Patents”
A total budget of €20 million is available for SMEs (including newly established ones) that own or license patents (Italian, European, or international), or have filed a patent application with a “non-negative” search report.
Eligible expenses: specialized services for the design, engineering, and industrialization of prototypes; organization of production processes; market strategy; and technology transfer.
Incentives: non-repayable grant of up to €140,000 per company, covering up to 80% of eligible expenses (85% for companies with a gender equality certification). In specific cases (collaboration with a public research body), coverage may reach 100%.
Deadlines: applications open from 12:00 p.m. on November 20, 2025, until funds are exhausted.
This measure reinforces one of the traditional strategic levers of growth: the patent as a tool for both protection and development. It sends a clear message to Italian SMEs — don’t just file patents, turn them into business.
2. “Trademarks+ 2025 – Protection of Trademarks Abroad”
A financial allocation of €2 million supports micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in registering their trademarks in international markets, through two measures:
Measure A: incentives for registering EU trademarks with the EUIPO.
Measure B: incentives for international registrations (WIPO / Madrid System).
Benefits and coverage:
Measure A: grant covering 80% of eligible expenses (85% for companies with a gender equality certification), up to a maximum of €6,000.
Measure B: grant covering 90% of eligible expenses (95% for companies with a gender equality certification), up to a maximum of €9,000.
Deadlines: applications may be submitted from 12:00 p.m. on December 4, 2025, through the online procedure, until available resources are depleted.
3. “Designs+ 2025 – Valorization of Industrial Designs and Models”
With a total budget of €10 million, this measure targets SMEs that own registered designs or models (with UIBM, EUIPO, or WIPO) as of January 1, 2023, and that are still valid.
Eligible expenses: creation of prototypes and molds; technical consultancy for production chains and innovative materials; marketing and communication services; and legal consultancy for anti-counterfeiting protection or licensing agreements.
Incentives: grant covering up to 80% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of €60,000 per company (85% for companies with a gender equality certification).
Deadlines: applications open from 12:00 p.m. on December 18, 2025, through the online procedure, until funds are exhausted.
